Letters to a Soulmate Part 1

Dear Sweet One,

Sweet woe to the lover who wishes only for the gaze of her beloved. Yet you see, I could never ask you to love me for I am the unloveable, the broken, unwanted and scared. So love, don't love me, I've already said I'm unloveable. Don't wait for me, won't you give me the satisfaction of watching you fall in love? Last of all don't look for me, my love, live for me.

Love,

Unwanted.

Seasons of Humanity

Humanity is

tree leaves; fall in autumn, and

bloom afresh in spring.

Challenge
This challenge can be a bit daunting so follow the instructions for what I call a Cryptic Poem.
Four lines only. Second line must start with the last word of the first line ... Third line must start with the last word of the second line ... Fourth line starts with the word ending in the third line and must end with the first word of the first line ... Your title must be the first word which will also be the last word ... Make sure you tag me @Danceinsilence - in the comment box, not on the piece itself so I can read your work ... Also, if you can, have the first four words of each line form some kind of a message of thought ... There, now that shouldn't be too hard ... and let the fun begin.

Eyes

Eyes – I should have been warned

warned in jangled throbs

throbs of evil spinning webs

webs of malevolent eyes.

Foolish Logic

If you speak of logic,

They may not believe you.

But if you speak of power,

They will listen to you.

It's not about who's right

And who's wrong,

It's about who's weak

And who's strong.

Facing the Impossible

What is it now troubling ye?

Scratching-clawing

'Neath insecurities

My hand is right here

You've nothing to fear

Is it some heartbroken devastation?

An illogical interpretation?

If you're confused

I'm right here for you

Maybe your anger is misdirected

And it's something inside you

That needs be corrected

I'm no punching bag

But I'll help burden your bad

You know?

There's air in your lungs

You're far from dead

Would you like me to

Shine a light inside your head?

Clever words I offer you

Maybe a different

Point of view

So many encounters

That we can both get through...

...Broken wing

Let us sing...

In harmony with every last thing!

Facing the Impossible &

All that might bring...

You know who I am?

A link in your chain

An element with no name

Something between

A God & Man

From the soil

Into your dreams

Not quite your time

To truly understand

Enlightenment & evolution

Are right there close at hand...

...Solitary pain

Cannot sustain

Only death or wisdom

Can remain

Too often arriving

Hand & hand...

There's a time to die...

Yet better still

A time to live!

Steady ye soul

Let go & forgive

Nought can ye control

'Cept warmth for

Others out in the cold

Leading the children

Aiding the old

Begin with simplicity

Not complexity & intricacies

Peace-I say peace...

Now!

Not when you're deceased

But ponder those last thoughts

When ye life's 'bout to expire

Once-twice

On & on

Till it feels like fire...

Ask aloud what

Matters ye most

Frequent questions

With common answers

Not even close

In the dark

I can give you sight

From the light

I can shade with night

Get on my shoulders

It'll be alright

Lift your chin

Let love in

A new chapter is about to begin...

...Down days

Swells & waves

A life lived

Fears no grave

Don't cry

Don't hide

In me you can always confide

Free way any phobia

Anchored by the improbable

Together

We'll Face the Impossible

Unstoppable...

...Blow your storm out to sea

There's no hook in thee

Look to me...

What would I ever do without you?

I exist only by your witness

Mirror me now-

I'll show you how

Mirror me now-

Do not dismiss this

In the mirror now...

Do you know who this is?

Rebirth

Degradation, humiliation, pain

Spiked anger arrows aim

Pierce cringing heart

Silence echoes

Alone

Timid Murmur

Hope reawakening

Bud unfolds silk petals

Leaves release toward sun

Virgin beginning of life beckons

Resurrection, Renewal, Renaissance

Challenge
I opened the door to find...

Dawn of Truth

I opened the door

and entered within.

Life’s possibilities

spread before me

in droplets of light

and dark sabers.

The path swerved

and I was overtaken

by the dawn of truth

and was torn

into infinite pieces

by marauding crows.

Life is full of chances

and choices

and I picked

the wrong one.

I will close this door

and start

all over again

before I am consumed

by “too late!”

Turn back time.

“Can you turn back the time?” the elderly man asked Albupa.

Albupa stared at the old man and asked him what was wrong. He told him that he was recalling the day that his wife left this earth.

“My deepest condolences,” Albupa said as he gave him a hug.

The man told the young lad about his wife. How much she loved being outdoors. Even when it was really cold. She would still go outside, early in the morning, to see the sunrise.

The old man sniffed and wiped the tears from his eyes. He handed Albupa his watch.

“What’s this for?” Albupa asked.

“If you ever feel sad, and lost, or wish that you could alter time- then look at this watch,” replied the old man.

“Thank you.”

Albupa sat for a while with him and they watched the sunrise together. The old man beamed with joy. He felt like his wife was still with him. Now his tears were that of gladness. The company of the young child also helped make him feel less sad & alone.

Distasteful

I want to know if you can taste it...

That guile riddled poison pouring from your lips.

Does it stain your tongue and corrode your teeth?

Or have you gained immunity

With every vile lie you've swallowed with pride?

You are whispering obscenities,

And splattering walls with your filth.

You are seeping poison from your pores,

And begging me to savor your skin.

You are spilling lies like truth in glass cups

And urging me to drink.

But I have no taste for it, my dear.

I have no taste for it.

Finding Oneself: The Eternal Journey

Who am i?

A young soul

A living, breathing, feeding, breeding

...Killing machine

Survival.

Intellectual animal

In a pinky shell

But who am i?

An enormous energy

Suppressed in a weakened body

Operates on its own...

Complexity

A desire burns its existence?

A teardrop in the ocean?

Self-destruction.

Strange

...I haven’t

Found me- yet

And who am i...

But a mere atom-like

In the vast cosmos.
