Gymnastics

You never know true life until youre flying on top of an 4 inch piece of wood. Or flying off a fiber glass bar 10 ft above the ground. Or running full speed towards an inanimate object. Yes, gymnasts are crazy. We are stronger than football players. We are as strong as Marines, that are forced to have the grace of a squirrel walking on a telephone wire. And we don't get to go outside with a rifle, a tail to keep balance, or pads to protect ourselves. We get to go out on the court in pretty thousand dollar leotards that ride up your ass. So try again, tell me gymnastics isnt a sport.

Futures are dim

I knew who he was. I knew exactly what he's done. I knew what he will do. No one could love him. No one cared about him. No one noticed him. He was the grumpy old man down the street. He sphated everything and everyone. But when he said he hated Christmas. That, that right there, I took it personal. I didn't meant to kill him. I just couldn't handle it any longer. He never knew it was coming. He never could've prepared. But he was an old humbug that no one missed. That's why I don't feel bad for killing the human Grinch stuck in my life.

First kisses

I love him

Three years going on

All long

He never knew

My best friend

Walking into his house

He opened the door

Immediately grabbed my face

He was my first

Three years he'd say

Three years I've been waiting

For that

Mario Kart

Racing, racing, racing. All day everyday. On the grind. I swerve and I drift. But I never fall off the track. If I fall off the track it's game over. I don't know what happens after game over. So I rewrite the books. I'm the fastest racer in the game. I am the champion. Who ever wants to challenge me has to make it past rainbow road.

Under the Barn

Theres this spot under the barn, she always used to take me there. That was before the humans took her to the zoo. At least that's what we like to tell ourselves when loved ones go missing. I heard them talking the same way they did before they took her last year. I had been stress eating ever since she was gone. I was worried about her. I knew I was the biggest Turk on the farm. That's why I hid.

I hid under the barn until snow came. I had survived another year. I hope you're proud of me darling.

A Christmas Challenge ... As we know, Christmas has been here and gone. But as tradition has been held, the 12 days of Christmas is the period that marks the span between the birth of Christ and the coming of the Magi—the three wise men. It begins on December 25th (Christmas) and runs through January 6th. And this challenge ends January 6th See the instructions and don’t forget to tag me in the comment section this way: @Danceinsilence.
Pick any of the 12 Days of Christmas and write EXACTLY 12 words, hence, this will be a couplet (two lines). Your title must be: On the (Pick a number day 1 to 12 and please write it out) Day of Christmas … and here are the days in order: A partridge in a pear tree—Two turtle doves—Three French hens—Four calling birds—Five gold rings—Six geese a-laying—Seven swans a-swimming—Eight maids a-milking—Nine ladies dancing—Ten lords a-leaping—Eleven pipers piping—Twelve drummers drumming. One line must include one of these! To fit the 15-words allotted, type any three words below it using a hashtag. Spin a thought to one of these days for the holidays. If still unsure, I shall start it off for you to get an idea … and may your days ahead be merry and bright!
