Once upon a time

Let me tell you a story, one filled with struggle, pain and loathing.

Once upon a time, there was a girl filled to the brim with love, joy and dreams. Her life was a simple one, she was born in a family with just the right income. Her grades were nothing to boast about and her school years were all just so roundabout.

She graduated college, not top of her class, but happy and ready to take on the world, as she should have. She made a wish on her day, “I wish, I hope I’ll get it one day”. A job of her dreams and friends worth a lifetime, such a pure simple wish, was made by our little college graduate.

And sometime during her climb, it all started to look great for her, she was finally in the race of life. She got a job and made a few friends, excelled and learned, as she should have, then a day came where she met a new friend. Let’s call her friend Carry, a woman that seemed to have been filled with joy from day one.

Her friend was nice, accommodating, and  friendly, so they were close, but not as can be. One day she needed help, so she turned to a person, not really a friend, let’s call her Josephine, Josephine was amazing, a woman that seemed to have overflowed in the “kindness” department. After the incident, Josephine and her became as close as can be.

So what was next in her story? Oh yeah, there was also a mother, in work she found a mother, although not as old as her in months as an employee, her mother was older in the years of life. A woman, that seemed to be  filled to the brim with the will to help. She was wonderful, thought our little graduate, but then all hell broke loose.

One day, it seemed life has finally caught up to our graduate, a friend turned into a foe, as her mother turned into a dragon, fearful of powers beyond her keen.

Would’ve been better

Love would've been better if it came true

If life had just given me to you

Life would've been easier if I had you

If warmth, at night wasn't an issue

Nights would've been great if this was true

You beside me, and I with you

We would've ended better if I only knew

That the choice I made would not lead me to you.

MY NEW YEAR

It's January and I wonder

How life brings new year

Just for us to ponder

To think about those moments, sonder

Such a mystery

This month full of history

Of lives changing, prehistorically

And I wonder, when will mine be just as legendary

Will it be when time has stopped?

Or when I have failed, Just flopped?

Will it be when my road is blocked?

And the door I have unlocked?

When will my new year be

I wonder?

For, it seems

This New Year, I sill wander

New Year’s Resolution

Once a week I shall a write,

A poem is what a poet should do.

Not a task for those who wonder and not wander

Cause a poet shall always be, one of those

One of those that explore the world

And write legends upon legends that the world should see.

So once a week I shall wander,

Around the minds of people, a moment of sonder.

Then I shall write

About the stories upon stories

That I felt and heard from all the legends

Legends that I saw from the herd

Tomorrow

I'm afraid of tomorrow. Afraid of what the day will bring as the sun rises again. Afraid of the choices I'll be forced to make as society dictates whether I'm right or wrong.

I'm terrified of how you and everyone else will see me after I choose to slide down instead of go up with a ladder that they will provide. I'm more than terrified of all the eyes that watch my every step waiting to see if I'll trip and cause the glasses I built and carry to shatter.

In one word. I'm a coward with no hope for tomorrow, according to society's standards but I know that by the time the sun sets I will be fine as I get ready for another day of Rollercoaster.

This is my day

I woke up one day and thought "let this be my day."

That same day I traveled to school and wished the whole time for this to be the day the whispers would stop.

As I laid on my bed that night I thought "let tomorrow be my day."

And as I woke up I said to myself "let this be my day."

That same day I traveled to school and wished the whole time for this to be the day the punches would seize.

As I laid on my bed that night I though "let tomorrow be my day."

And as I woke up I whispered to myself "let this be my day."

That same day I journeyed to school while whispering the whole way, uttering the words "please let today be the day they all stop."

And as I laid in bed with blisters, cuts and bruises, my eyes shut tight and with a heavy heart, my tears drowned me to sleep.

I woke up yet again the next day and thought to myself "This will be my day, the day my desire for a dreamless dream with nothing but darkness and a void fit for my heart comes true". That day my dream came true.

Whispers

I covered my ears from the harsh whispers of the outside world that shunned me.

L.A.F

There will be times life will trip you or push you backwards a few steps along the way, heck there are even times where life will just throw you off the game putting you in the starting line yet again but remember that it's a short game, learn to love, accept and forgive the misfortunes it will throw at you because as much as life is a bitch its the only chance you have.

It's happened, it finally happened! after years of people saying it will and others ignoring their words calling them "crazy" or "lunatic" they were right, they were finally right it is upon us, the end of the world.

I went outside today to buy milk after being holed up the whole day inside my house writing my new book because I finally have my inspiration back but I didn't expect the world that had greeted me. The stench of rotten flesh and blood was in the air and no matter where I turned I saw someone eating someone.

I have to leave, I have to survive but where? how? all the zombie movies I know ended with the leading role getting infected and even as advanced as we are now there is no cure for this. Where am I gonna go? I can only think of one person that can help me now and I hope he can. NO I know he can because if he can't then God have mercy on our souls.
