One Lost, A Thousand Gained

One Lost, A Thousand Gained

I open that old, wooden door, only four years old,

But all I find is cracked glass and a shattered heart

Through other’s eyes I see you

The past seen through a honey’s sheen

Through other’s eyes I see you

Harsh marks and purple scars

Through other’s eyes I see you

Time doesn’t heal my wounds but makes them deeper

Through blue bruises dug through broken memories

Sharp shovel in hand and a face of stone

Through my bloody mouth and my broken heart

Through my own eyes, I can see you

You say, “Hello” before you disappear again

I say, “Good riddance” as I walk away once again.

Shutting that old, wooden door, already four years old, forever.

Bliss

The warm laughter of family, funky songs to groove to, laughing at your own silly jokes, and eating good food. This is what love is to me, it's that wariness in your chest no matter where that warmth comes from.

Writer's Block
I'm sure we've all experienced this dreadful thing at least once in our lives. The most important part to overcoming it is to just write, start somewhere, even if it's just random words. Write about it: how it feels, how to overcome it, any advices for fellow writers etc. Anything goes. Have fun and don't forget to tag me :)

Heart to Heart

I've been writing for the better part of my life but due to personal problems I pulled away from my passion for four consecutive years. I just recently started to try and create verbal art again after my four year writer's block, if I can call it that, and throughout this time I dared not to even touch a pencil unless absolutely necessary. Whenever I tried to pour my heart out on the page I felt like such an imposter and my words felt hollow and false, like they were from another hand. For these four years the urge to do anything was an insurmountable challenge and the heaviness of writer's block drowned out my creative spark from within my soul outward, taking my heart along with it. I thought I would never get it back until one day, I did. Obviously it wasn't this easy, I had to do plenty of healing and internal work to even get out of bed much less want to write again. But I just want to say that for anyone struggling with depression, loneliness, etc… Better days are coming, do what you love and if you feel like you can't and do what you can to feel better.

Pain

When people leave our lives, it won't hurt when they don't look back. Time really does heal all wounds, no matter how much they bleed.

Blessed Scapegoat

Shy,cracked gold and full of sweetness, a little girl's bubbling heart is finally brought to life full and happy. A lost soul not afraid to cry again, a wayward spirit who finally feels like themselves. And for the first time this lonely spirit, through chattering teeth, shaking, sweaty palms, and a wobbly smile, feels Human.

Touch

A warm, bubbling trickle down your chest as your heart hammers against your ribs. Like the softness of red sunsets and golden Marigolds, a halo of long locks within a field of love. Between your honeyed smile and that unfathomable twinkle in your eye are the telling signs of falling from the clouds. That jolt of an electrifying, anything but subtle sweet taste of when two fully, whole, and complete souls collide.
